Colorful Stripes and Cat Eyes

OUTFIT DETAILS: JEANS (sold out, linked alternatives in post) | BLOUSE | similar SUNGLASSES | SANDALS

I'm on a serious hunt for more wide leg pants. Obsessed! I've been obsessed with them since last year as you can see in my post 4 Reasons to Wear Wide Leg Pants. In the meantime, I wanted to share a few of my latest summer buys with you guys. This jewel tone vertical stripe blouse is right up my alley and easily elevates any denim piece. I wore mine with this wide legged pair of jeans and am planning to wear it with this midi jean skirt next. Also, cat eye sunglasses are a perfect and inexpensive wardrobe update for summer. And if you missed last week's post, this dress from the Who What Wear collection is also perfect for summer.

As you probably saw from my last post, I went to Target. The Who What Wear collection almost always has something I want to pick up. For purposes of full disclosure I should say that the sizing doesn't always work out for me since I'm petite and they don't have a dedicated petite line but their designs are really good, particularly given the price point. Most of their items are under $40 so it's a no-brainer when the piece fits. Suffice it to say that if they did do a petite line I would be in serious trouble. Interestingly, they did recently release this relaxed tiered maxi dress in a petite friendly length and promoted it through a couple of petite bloggers. It looked amazing on them and the length is definitely good (I'm 5'2" and didn't need heels). However, the arm holes were too large for me and it had way too much material on the sides, all the way down. That said, the green is so pretty and I like the loose, flowy style in concept so it's a worth a try if you like the style!

I found these wide leg jeans in the Spring and just hadn't gotten around to wearing them until now so unfortunately they're no longer available but I found several other super cute options, which I'm linking for you guys. If you want wide leg denim, this Marc Jacobs pair is super cute (and on sale). Unfortunately I missed the boat on my size but you may get lucky, so check. If you want to make a statement, these Tory Burch pants are a great pair to wear with this blouse - slightly off in the matching, which makes it perfect! In non-denim wide leg pants I really like this casual linen pair with tie waist and these are only around $30 so get them fast. They come in 3 colors - olive, black, and natural.

The slim cat-eye shape is one of my favorite trends in sunglasses. Are you into it? Excellent news for ladies with small faces. The pair I'm wearing are from Zara. I also bought this white pair because, well, it's summer (although I love wearing white in all seasons because it's so fresh). Also love this pair (brown lenses) and own multiple pairs from Illesteva. And one more, this translucent pair for only $70 - so neutral and so right now.

Every summer I wear one pair of brown sandals on repeat and this year it's the Lucy's. I love the wooden block heel and the walkability. These are great since you get a little lift without feeling like you're in heels. Honestly, they're the perfect city sandal and work so well with both neutral and colorful wardrobes. I'm planning to wear mine with all my sundresses and summer prints. They took zero time to break in and also they're only a little over $100 so the price is really good. I'm wearing English Saddle but they come in black as well (smaller sizes in both colors are selling out fast).
