nsale, nordstrom sale, jumpsuit, petite fashion, summer style, new england travel, maine hotels, pool style

Well ladies, it's that time of the year. I'm talking about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! I just got back from a trip to Maine and finally had time to check out the Sale, which is currently only open to Nordstrom cardholders. If you don't have the card you can still take a look at what's on sale here and make a list of what you want to grab when it opens to everyone on July 20. I spent way too much because once again there are so many cute things. My jumpsuit is from Nordstrom but wasn't part of the sale and it's sold out, but I found a ton of other super cute jumpsuits  and I've linked them all below!

HOW TO STYLE SUMMER'S BRIGHT FLORALS

Wednesday, June 27, 2018

utility jacket, peplum, summer jacket, floral print, midi skirt, loft, urban outfitters, petite fashion, new england travel, north shore boston

OUTFIT DETAILS: JACKETSKIRT (Also love the POLKA DOT print) | similar PUMPS |  BAG

How's everyone's week going? Mine's been super busy but somehow I still had time to shop:) This week I bought this cute peplum utility jacket and it happens to be 40% off right now with code HBDUSA. It's relatively simple so it pairs well with anything and does a great job of tempering loud florals. You guys know I have a weakness for floral prints and that's probably an understatement. So it's important to have the right things to pair with all my flowery purchases. Dark or olive green will balance out any floral print really easily, which makes a good olive green jacket a wardrobe essential.

COLORFUL STRIPES AND WIDE LEG PANTS

Colorful Stripes and Cat Eyes

OUTFIT DETAILS: JEANS (sold out, linked alternatives in post) | BLOUSE | similar SUNGLASSES | SANDALS

I'm on a serious hunt for more wide leg pants. Obsessed! I've been obsessed with them since last year as you can see in my post 4 Reasons to Wear Wide Leg Pants. In the meantime, I wanted to share a few of my latest summer buys with you guys. This jewel tone vertical stripe blouse is right up my alley and easily elevates any denim piece. I wore mine with this wide legged pair of jeans and am planning to wear it with this midi jean skirt next. Also, cat eye sunglasses are a perfect and inexpensive wardrobe update for summer. And if you missed last week's post, this dress from the Who What Wear collection is also perfect for summer.

5 STYLISH FINDS FOR SUMMER 2018

Wednesday, June 13, 2018

summer style, who what wear, pink, affordable style, petite fashion, petite style, boston blogger, boston style, july 4 outfit, feminine style, loft

Okay yes, I admit it, my hair isn't brushed in these pics! But I'm really bad with hair and lately I feel like it actually better when I don't even try. So I skipped "styling" it, which is usually a 2 second messy bun anyway. So what do you think - good or bad idea? Leave me your honest thoughts in comments please. I can take it I promise though I don't promise to do anything about it necessarily:)

Anyway, I wanted to share some awesome summer finds this week, most of them at a very affordable price point, because I'm a mom and my 5 year old routinely spills snacks/drinks on me and steps on my shoes:) First up, Find #1, I found this amazingly flattering red/white tiered wrap dress with a flounce bottom. And it's only $35 - you're welcome! You can wear it all summer since, as they say,  stripes are always nice:) And of course it makes an easy July 4 ensemble. I couldn't find the image to include in the shoppable scroll bar so use the link here to find it easily. This dress can read pink from a distance (see my Instagram!) so for those of you who thought they were getting a pink dress, I love this one with tie bows and it comes in regular and petite!

SUMMER GETAWAY DRESSES

Summer Dresses

I finally had time to go shopping again, just in time to get ready for all those summer getaways and all those summer weddings coming up! I bought several that are super versatile and can easily go from the beach to a wedding depending on how you style them. Wearing a higher heel or strappier shoe is a no-fail way to make the outfit appropriate for dressier occasions.

First up, this flouncy handkerchief hem dress under $50. I also included my picks from the J.Crew promotion today and if you're interested, you can see my fitting room pics on Instagram in my Stories.

OUTFIT DETAILS || similar COAT | SWEATER | PUMPS | BAG

This "l'amour" sweater is one of my season favorites! It's an outfit maker and super comfy to boot. All sizes are available right now - I'm wearing an XS, which is a tiny bit relaxed but still fitted enough to work well on petite frames. Also, it's only $18...so there is literally no reason not to buy it! If you're a fan of orange or purple then you'll be extra in love with this sweater. I've worn it a million times since buying - it seems to make all my outfits more interesting.

Winter Fashion 2018

SHOP MY OUTFIT: DRESS under $60 | similar COATS HERE and HERE | SUNGLASSES, also love THESE | SANDALS

The end of winter is finally in sight. Even then, these last few cold weeks are really dragging. My teddy coat has been really good ever since we broke out of the 30's temps - the texture is amazing for dressing up the simplest of outfits. Mine's old but this one under $130 is a great buy for staying warm from now through Spring. For a heavier teddy coat, I really like this one from Whistles but it's a little pricier too - but a great neutral color and cut that can be worn next year as well.
