 Holiday Outfits 2017

SWEATER | SKIRT | BOOTS (sold out) similar HERE | HAT

I don't know if it's just me but the minute we hit November I start getting into the holiday mood. Wearing red is one easy way to get festive without putting in a lot of effort. And what I love about red pieces is that they're not relegated to the holiday season - as you can see in this post. All my red pieces here can be styled differently to be worn anytime. This floral pleated skirt is an easy piece to wear to work, just around or to a holiday party depending on how you style it. The flowers are so vibrant and the black background of the print makes it super easy to wear. I picked up this chunky sweater yesterday for only $20 that has a really cool drape and would go perfectly with this skirt since it's a slightly cropped length.

Cute warm sweaters can be hard to find. I love this mock neck red sweater for something warm that also looks chic. It also looks amazing under a camel coat. It's very thin, made from merino wool, and not itchy (which for me is such a huge thing.) It's quite fitted so I bought it in S instead of my usual XS to give me some breathing room and be able to layer underneath if necessary. It comes in 5 colors, all perfect for Fall/Winter - my favorites besides the red are the ivory and dark green. I also bought this a-line sweater dress in ivory for winter. It also comes in black, and who doesn't need a black sweater dress for winter.

For those winter getaways, playing on the slopes, or pretending you know how to ski (that's me!) I love this cute and preppy skier sweater in red - the ivory graphics are perfect. This is the type of sweater that makes me want to head to a fancy chalet in the Swiss mountains and start sipping hot chocolate by the fire stat!

For holiday skirts, I'm also currently eyeing this gorgeous brown one (which is almost sold out by the way, so run to it!).  This skirt is such a great way to dabble in the high shine trend this Fall, and it's nice that it's under $100 since it's a trend item. The shade of brown looks really high-end. I'm in love with this one. I also linked a few other cute red and metallic holiday skirts in the scroll bar at the bottom for you to check out. Most are under $100, some under $50, and a couple of splurge ones to ogle as well!

Here's a holiday look, also incorporating red, from last season by the way. This maxi skirt is still available - linked here if you're interested. It was kindly gifted to me by Shein and holds up really well for winter. The quality is also good which can be rare for only $30.

I'm now just a couple of months from hitting one year of blogging. It feels like a long time to me but isn't actually very long at all in the fashion blogosphere. To my regular readers, THANK YOU so much for following along - I truly appreciate it ! I also wanted to specially thank those of you who leave me comments and questions in the comment box. I love to hear from you. It always makes my day to hear a voice coming back my way instead of me just sending things out into the ether. I get that "does anyone copy?" feeling sometimes. So, for reading and commenting, thank you
