Fall colors are arguably my favorite out of all the seasonal colors. The earth tones and deep saturated shades are all so romantic. In this outfit I combined reds and browns to come up with a mix that keeps me interested.

This weekend Madewell is having a sale and it includes what I'm wearing here as well as a few other really cute pieces for Fall so I've updated the post with sale picks below!

Part of the fun of Fall fashion is also to play with textures and here it was fun to combine the silky georgette of the blouse, with the heavier lace of the skirt, with the tougher corduroy of the cap. I shared this hat on my Instagram stories a few days ago - one of my favorites for this season because it gives any outfit some attitude.

Like most of my outfits, this one is multi-purpose. You can wear it to work (minus the hat of course), or out to a nice dinner. This floral smocked blouse is a great one to have in your closet if you like color. Sizes are selling out really fast since the top went on sale and is currently only available in the smallest sizes. I linked a few similar styles in the scroll bar at the bottom if your size happens to be sold out.

This style is so perfect for Fall and I like that the high-neck can peek out under a sweater later in the season to help create different looks. Over time I've learned to really appreciate the concept of depth, which is basically the idea that putting together different textures, prints and colors leads to outfits that are more interesting and also uniquely you.

A good burgundy or rust skirt in a heavy lace, leather or suede (like this one here under $100) can take you through the majority of Fall and Winter. It's such a great piece to have and is just as neutral as your jeans or anything in black. If you layer colorful leggings under a lace or other cold-weather appropriate material, it's just as warm and comfortable as anything else you might wear instead.

For Fall footwear, I'm a huge fan of sock boots. They make any outfit look so much more sleek and streamlined. I especially love the brightly colored ones, like my red pair here, which I also wore in this post in case you missed it. You may think that red boots aren't likely to be very versatile but I plan to wear them all season and can promise that a pair of red booties go with so much! I love this fiery red suede, pointy toe, low-heel pair if you want something more trend resistant than sock boots. I also have these in burgundy velvet.

Since writing this post, a number of my favorite Fall pieces have gone on sale at Madewell so I'm sharing them here:
