For off, to all my US friends, Happy Thanksgiving weekend! I'm a serious fan of the last quarter of the year despite the tanking temps out here in Boston. Aside from the culinary indulgences and total license to chill that this weekend brings, there are also some really nice sales at all price points. I'm focusing my purchases on great sweaters and coats because nothing bores me more than wearing black outerwear all winter. So in this outfit I went with emerald and navy - two colors I love and which work so well together. My coat is only $60 at the moment and still available online.

This sweater is medium weight, making it perfect for layering. It's super soft and has held up well to a wash in the normal warm water cycle of my washing machine. The color is really vibrant and unusual, fresh shade of green. The fit is excellent for petites or those with narrow torsos (also great for women with long torsos). It comes in 7 other colors including a holiday red I really like as well as a soft lemon yellow which I love with winter whites.

As I mentioned my coat is only $60 so I was really happy to find it. The double-breasted style is so classic and the wool blend is incredibly soft and drapes well over the body. I also love this navy one with all the cool patches and am currently searching for removable pins and patches to give my classic coat the same effect when I feel like it. I really love a good long-line coat for the winter, especially one that has a little bit of a menswear vibe to it, which both my coat and the patch one have. Such a great way to look pulled together on blustery winter days when you're wearing 5 layers (I'm not exaggerating, sometimes I wear 5 layers in the winter).

Hats have been my best friend since forever since hair styling has never been my forte and I'm now forced to accept I'll never have those perfectly styled curls. However, every cloud has a silver lining and the silver lining to my poor hair skills is that I don't feel guilty about owning a rather large number of hats. This brown tweedy fedora with its band detail goes with anything and can elevate the simplest of outfits and balances out my feminine style. My hat is old but I linked another one in the outfit details section if you're on the hunt for something similar.

Last but not least we're only days away from the season of bows and what better way to wear bows than on our shoes! My light gold Ivanka Trump pumps from last year have held me in good stead and are extremely walkable. I'm currently on the hunt for a replacement pair in this mid-heel height with the same versatility. I found these Steve Maddens which are super cute and satisfy the bow requirement but I suspect may not be the best choice for walking long distances around the city. But for a party pair these would be the perfect choice for a pair under $150. I also love this Banana Republic pair, which comes in both a soft neutral brown and a fiery red and I honestly can't decide which one to get!

If you're a regular reader you might recognize this skirt from last season (last styled here for work). This was one of my best buys this year and is now on massive sale for under $40. There are very few sizes left but if your size is available and you like midi skirts, you seriously can't go wrong with this purchase. I also just bought this metallic pleated number that will be perfect for holiday parties, as well as this darker one that pairs perfectly with casual whites and greys for weekends and dressier fabrics and colors for night or party wear.

Thanks for stopping in and reading! If you share my love of feminine styles and rich colors, I hope you found something that you like here today! xo
