Summer StripesI've been looking for a matching separates for a while and finally found these - love! If you like color or stripes or a lean wardrobe, you have to grab this matching set. Wearing them together is such an easy and trendy color statement, and of course you can also wear them separately with so many different things.

The colors are so vibrant, just right for summer. I like that you can play with the look by matching accessories to either the navy, pinks or bright orange color bands. It's nice that you can get little slices of all of these colors without having to commit to one. This top, for example, is perfect with my favorite skinny jeans, now part of the Nordstrom sale, or a pair of classic white shorts. Read on for more details on the outfit as well as a fun weekend surprise giveaway.

The skirt is equally versatile. You can easily style it for work or the weekend. I love the idea of a simple white tank or even a tee with this skirt for brunches or coffee. For work, just pair with a navy cardigan, or white blouse plus blazer for an easy and feminine work outfit.

Speaking of cardigans, my 3/4 sleeve cardigan seems to come with me everywhere these days. The fit is really nice and I've been wearing it equally with work and casual outfits. Mine is in navy, a color I'm wearing more and more these days, but it also comes in several other colors. For pre-Fall I grabbed a chunky sleeveless vest from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (see my pre-Fall sale picks) that I'm excited to wear. This sweater has that perfect slouchy chic look and is surprisingly figure flattering for something that's not at all fitted.

My cork platform wedges are a good, low-key complement to this colorful outfit. I've worn these so much. They're on sale for only around $40 which is a great price given the quality and versatility of this shoe. The height might seem a little intimidating but it's actually really comfortable because of the platform and a super springy sole - it's like walking on a pillow. The width in the toe-box is wide enough to be comfortable without making your feet look clunky. I wore it at a farmer's market jaunt a couple of weeks ago, which was so much walking and I could never had done it if these shoes weren't comfortable.

My gold beaded clutch was a recent gift from 1.2.3 Paris. I love this clutch - a simple gold beaded bag is such a chic wardrobe addition. I've worn it with day and evening outfits and it adds a subtle touch of glam without trying too hard. I like that it's soft and somewhat pliable, which makes it more appropriate for everyday. The softness of the bag also makes it more comfortable to carry under your arm. 1.2.3 Paris has a feminine-contemporary vibe with their collection including flattering dresses as well as pretty tops and ankle length jeans in several colors. If you're a dress lover or a fan of elegant basics you'll probably find something you like in their new collection. If you're petite, the one thing to watch out for is sizing as their smallest size can still be a little large for petites. A few of the pieces I liked are the Dixy blue printed dress, Fiona red blouse and the Alexane ecru blouse - great for work or for dressier casual activities.

As a little weekend surprise, I'm excited to partner with 1.2.3 Paris to offer one reader a 150 gift certificate usable towards purchases at 1-2-3 Paris (minimum purchase is  10 and the voucher is valid for one year). Please note that the giveaway is only open to those in the US, Canada, UK and Australia.
