Perfect Summer Skirt
Hope everyone had an awesome weekend. We had a mix of sun and clouds and the day I wore this it was mostly clouds as you can see from the pictures. I'm not complaining though. I'm just happy it's not cold anymore and I can wear dresses and skirts! I love color but I also love neutrals, especially white, and nothing says summer quite like white. This midi-skirt I picked up is going to be such a summer staple and is incredibly well-made for the price. The length is classic midi, hitting a few inches below the knee - one of my favorite lengths right now. It's so flattering and elegant on women of all heights.

SKIRT: H&M | MULES: NORDSTROM | BLOUSE: TARGET | BAG: BANANA REPUBLIC | SUNGLASSES: ILLESTEVA

The skirt is slightly flared and made from a textured weave with box pleats at the waist and a zipper at the back. I took a size 2 and it sits perfectly at the narrowest part of my waist. The skirt is now on sale for $25 (of course I bought it at at full-price for $50)! It's sold out online in size 2 (the smallest size) but all other sizes are available as of Tuesday early morning. The online description says there's no lining but luckily there's an inside layer until just above the knees which eliminates any see-through issues. And I'm not sure why it's described as not having lining because what is that if not lining.

My blouse is from Target. I know - so much Target style recently. What can I say, every time I go there for paper plates or something like that, I leave with clothes too. Not sure how that happens. I guess that's true for other things too. I bought all these super cute colorful towels for my munchkin the other day even though she has a million towels - these were just too cute to pass up.

This garden print is really nice and I didn't think I was a garden print type of person. Ann Taylor has a similar print that's hugely popular (more saturated than this one). I like the drape of the blouse and the shawl collar v-neck isn't too deep, which I was happy about because most non-petite sized v-necks are invariably too deep for me. It's the perfect top for work and fits easily into a work wardrobe. This is definitely getting tucked into a pencil skirt next. Usually the nicer prints come with a higher price tag so this blouse was a pleasant surprise. Besides the obvious pairing with blush, this top would look so cute with a cargo skirt or pants, as well as with camel (like my mules). It also comes into two other colors. I really liked the pale pink as well - it's a taupe-y pink which is my favorite version of blush because it goes with so much. Also, the sleeves roll down to full length if you prefer that. Right now it's 30% off with CODE: MEMDAY30. I'm probably going to grab the blush one too now that it's on sale.

These mules are getting so much wear just as I expected. You really can't go wrong with a neutral mule this season and this one is a warm shade that goes well with both pastels as well as bright colors. I'm a stickler for shoes that have good foot-bed padding and this one definitely checks that box. The chunky heels and the open toes makes the shoe so comfortable. My foot is on the wider side and these shoes have been ultra comfortable day one so if you're looking for comfortable heels, this is a good one to consider.

I've linked a few of my summer favorites below. Happy shopping and thanks for reading!
