midiskirt, white midiskirt, white pleated skirt, accordion skirt, grey tunic, tom ford sunglasses, minimalist watch, sneakers, wedge sneakers

Just a quick post to share this casual weekend look. I went for a hike at the Middlesex Fells Reservation, a relaxing hiking trail north of Boston, very different from the canyon hikes in LA. It always feels good to get some time in nature and quiet when all you can hear is birds and trees.

casual chic, comfortable style, wedge sneakers, nike, swishy skirt, feminine style, athleisure

Grey cotton sweater, neutrals, minimalist watch, madewell bracelets, fitness

Gold bracelets, black oversized watch, pleated skirt, grey sweater, rebecca minkoff earrings

tom ford sunglasses, oversized sunglasses

flared skirt, feminine style, outfit of the day, white and grey, relaxed style, mommy style

style for errands, casual chic, comfortable cotton sweater, relaxed skirt, pretty skirt

SKIRT: FOREVER XXI | SWEATER: OLD (similar HERE) | SNEAKERS: NIKE (slightly different model HERE) | WATCH: CLUSE

This wouldn't have been my first pick of what to wear hiking but I've been loving my long skirts ever since the snow let up and didn't feel like putting on workout gear. I also happened to have my Nike wedge sneakers stashed in the trunk of my car so I switched out my ecru ankle booties (which you can see styled here) and was ready to go. It was a great "just do it" moment - Nike should be proud.

I generally wear sneakers only at the gym (so...never) but I wear these a lot during the week to run errands and often keep them in the car "just in case I need them". These are great if you want some height and something that functions as a boot but works and feels like sneakers. I've worn mine in light snow as well as rain. These don't claim to be waterproof but they do a good job keeping your feet dry nonetheless. It's nice that you're a little off the ground so you don't have to worry about light puddles. If you need something casual but stylish for running around town, or after kids, I highly recommend these.

Thanks for reading and see you tomorrow with the third workwear look with the black pencil skirt: original post here with the first two looks.
